VINAFCO HAS A NEW GENERAL DIRECTOR FROM JULY 1

Mr. Bui Minh Hung has a degree in maritime economics (Vietnam Maritime University) and a bachelor's degree in English (Hanoi University of Foreign Languages ​​and International Studies).

From April 2009 to August 2021, Mr. Bui Minh Hung held the positions of Deputy Manager, Manager, Deputy Director, and Port Director of MSC Vietnam at Cai Lan Port.

From September 2021 to February 2023, Mr. Bui Minh Hung was appointed General Director of Vietnam Container Shipping Joint Stock Company (Viconship). From March 2023, Mr. Hung is the Chairman of the Company.

With 24 years of experience in the maritime sector, Mr. Hung has provided effective and innovative solutions to promote trade in the maritime sector.

Mr. Bui Minh Hung has a degree in maritime economics (Vietnam Maritime University) and a bachelor's degree in English (University of Education). The appointment of Mr. Hung as General Director demonstrates the trust of the Board of Directors of Vinafco JSC in realizing the goal of becoming one of the top five enterprises providing integrated logistics services and supply chain solutions in the market.

In the context of the increasingly strong development of the Vietnamese logistics market, the new General Director of Vinafco Bui Minh Hung has outlined a medium and long-term strategy to orient the Company to become one of the leading logistics service and supply chain solution groups in the region.

This strategy not only aims to strengthen Vinafco's competitive position but also aims at sustainable development and innovation.

To implement that strategy, General Director Bui Minh Hung has set out five main tasks in the coming time as follows:

1. Strengthening transport and warehousing capacity

In his strategy, Mr. Bui Minh Hung considers expanding and improving transport and warehousing capacity as one of the core factors for the development of the enterprise.

According to Mr. Hung, Vinafco will invest heavily in upgrading its container fleet, transport fleet, developing modern distribution centers and expanding its warehouse network.

This not only helps improve operational efficiency but also better meets the increasing demands of customers, especially to anticipate the recovery of the world economy in general and the shipping industry in particular.

2. Application of technology and innovation

Not out of the general trend, Vinafco will continue to increase the application of technology in business operations.

Under the direction of General Director Bui Minh Hung, the Company will focus on deploying advanced technology solutions such as smart warehouse management system (WMS), transportation management system (TMS) with integrated IoT technology to optimize operations.

In particular, Vinafco will also invest in research and development of artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain applications to improve transparency and efficiency in the supply chain.

Technology solutions will help Vinafco save costs, improve operational efficiency, and enhance information security in the context of an unpredictable world.

3. Developing high-quality human resources

Developing human resources is one of the internal strengths of every enterprise.

At Vinafco, Mr. Bui Minh Hung emphasized investing in staff development activities, from professional skills to in-depth management capabilities in domestic and international logistics.
